I can’t recommend Dr. Paul Tortland and the New England Stem Cell Institute highly enough. Dr. Tortland has treated my knees with both PRP multiple times and stem cell therapy, and I’ve experienced meaningful improvement from both. Dr. Tortland is an incredible doctor. I went to see him post ACL surgery when I was still having pain in my knee. With just 1 injection my symptoms significantly decreased so that I was able to have basically no pain, was able to lift heavier and move faster through my rehab. He is one of the leading doctors in regenerative medicine but can treat just about anything. He is up to date with the latest research and helps that research move forward. He is knowledgable but personable and really listens to your needs. Highly highly recommend!!!

Dr. Tortland is the best doctor ever! I have been his patient for 25+ years. He listens, he is honest, and he focuses on solutions. I now live with chronic pain. Other doctors focus on surgery and opiods. Dr. Tortland, however, has been able to significantly reduce my pain level through injections that the pain management doctor had never heard of! It is hard to get an appointment, but he is worth the wait! (Plus, he has a great sense of humor.)

Dr. Tortland offers therapies that you can’t just find anywhere. I had a cortisone injection in my knee before seeing Dr. Tortland and it only got worse. Dr. Tortland suggested that we try prolotherapy instead and my knee has been better ever since; and that was (2007) over 15 years ago. When he does an injection, he makes the extra effort to make sure that his patients are comfortable. Having been under his care for different conditions over the years, I can confidently say that he is not just a good physician but a good person as well.

It is amazing to have the pleasure of working with Dr. Tortland and his staff. I have been working with him for over 2 years now. He has done wonders for my back pain and has found a method for relief that does not include surgery. He is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to teach me on the process as well as the cause and effect of my pain. Dr. Tortland is hands-down the best/nicest doctor I’ve ever had. He is kind, patient and makes every effort to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible. I had a PRP/stem cell injection in 2017 for a lateral meniscus tear and made a full recovery. It allowed me to avoid surgery and was the best money I’ve ever spent. I cannot recommend him highly enough, 5 stars all the way.

Dr Tortland is the BEST! I am a long time patient with various tears over the years, and he always helped and fixed me up. He is very knowledgeable in non- or minimally invasive techniques and he never gives up! He also thinks outside the box when needed and is a very kind and caring doctor. I had been at my whits end with foot pain that my podiatrist attributed to plantar fasciitis. I had received chronic heel injections of steroids with limited relief and pain returning 3 months after the injections. Dr Tortland took far more time to investigate my root cause and address my healing. We have a treatment plan and are working toward a goal of my pain going away without steroids or surgery. I could not ask for better care in addressing this and so far so good. Actually this is the best my feet have felt without steroids, in over 5 years.
